Wilson continues to excel in skateboarding, trying and failing and trying and succeeding. Each time we visit the skate park, which is once or twice a week, he improves. He continues building on the skills he’s developing, even when it means pushing through the pain of a hard fall.
Here’s a video of Wilson learning to drop into the skate bowl. This isn’t something I can show him how to do, only explain how I think it should be done, stomping on the front of the board to fully commit to the drop. He had to build up the courage to give it a shot.
As you can see, he was injured in his first attempt, but after about two minutes, he tried again and fell again. A minute later, he tried a third time, and he nailed it. Now he’s able to drop in on any ramp in the skate park, which has opened new possibilities for him to try new tricks.

It’s a different picture. I took this one months earlier.
