We left hotel Tierra Patagonia in the late morning for a flat hike along Laguna Verde. The trailhead was only about an hour from the hotel.
It was a pleasant hike along the lagoons. We spotted a couple of flamingos, ate wild mushrooms called Indian Bread, and reached a wonderful mirador overlooking the Paine massif.
The most remarkable thing about the trip was the wind. The wind was consistently strong, and on a couple of occasions gusted quite hard. Jane was blown off her feet, having to catch herself on a trail sign to stop the wind from moving her. It was strong.
