We’ve moved into our new AirBnB in Pucon, Chile, where we’ll be for a couple of weeks. From the house, we have a view of the large Lago Villarrica. Clear water. Mountains along the shores. Sailboats and ski boats moving about. Just behind us, but out of sight due to trees, is the smoldering cone of Chile’s most active volcano. The town and lake are a beautiful destination, apparently popular for vacationing Chileans.
We had rain today, but we took time to explore the quiet town in the early morning hours. We walked around the harbor, the main streets, and found the skatepark.
Later, we took time during a break in the rain to paddle around in the lake. Our home has access to a narrow strip of rocky shoreline and a few kayaks, which will be fun in the coming weeks.
