Katie would tell you I despise waiting in line. I don’t cut lines. I avoid them. When it comes to lines, I often decide I can live without whatever consumer-oriented gratification awaits at the end (e.g. the latest restaurant, a freebie, a game, a celebrity autograph, etc.). I can do without it.
In this context, it’s remarkable Katie was able to get me to attend the opening of the new Chicken Love You in Vitacura. We do enjoy the food, but I had little interest in attempting to be one of the first 600 people to arrive in exchange for a free camiseta (t-shirt).
We waited on the sidewalk about an hour, and we got the shirts. We had fun with it.
One we got the shirts though, we bailed out of line. We chose not to follow through with the wait required to also get a branded rubber chicken.

Your kids really wanted those squeaky chickens, Mark!
