Wilson, as most boys are is obsessed with anything with wheels. He’s really into bikes and motorcycles. He’s just starting to enjoy pushing little car and truck toys around. He’d just much rather be on the wheels than pushing them.
I guess he’d never seen anyone on wheels. No one really roller skates or roller blades much any more. So the idea the someone could have wheels on their feet was a total unknown to him.
Well, Mark had the kids at the playground at the RV park and they were happily playing when Wilson caught sight of a young girl on roller blades.
He dropped everything and started running as fast as hit little legs could carry him. He was chasing her. She couldn’t have been more than 10 and wasn’t the fastest skater we’ve ever seen. That coupled with the fact she was skating up hill gave Wilson a slight advantage. He was gaining on her!
Mark had to dart after him and grab him to keep him from what? Knocking her down? Trying to grab those wheels off her feet? Making sure she wasn’t some magical human with wheels for feet?
We’re not really sure what his grand plan was once he caught her. But boy did he EVER want those roller blades.
So beware. If you come skating by our door Wilson might be on you like a dog on a postman!
