I dreaded going to North Dakota, but I was flat out floored by the charm of Medora, ND, which is at the entrance to Roosevelt National Park.
While we were in Medora, Jane and I had a girl’s night. She was super excited to get some one on one time with me. She was even more excited to do something we both love and haven’t had the chance to do since February. See a show!
The Medora Musical is a family friendly, country themed variety show. It has a loose historical theme around Theodore Roosevelt since the National Park that shares his name is outside Medora.
The opening act paid tribute to all the National Parks since it’s the centennial celebration this year. The cast took a road trip through many of the National Parks and sang county songs like “Rocky-Top” for each of the states they drove through. It couldn’t have been more relatable for us.
To say that Jane loved the show is an understatement. Popcorn, girl time, singing and dancing. We had a ball.
The following day, one of the cast members did a kids show on a small stage in town. Both Wilson and Jane loved learning how to be a cowboy and cowgirl at the sing-a-long.
They got dressed up and went on stage to sing and dance. It was so cute!
I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the morning!
