I packed three things with me on the road to make me feel more…I don’t know? Girly? Less gross? Young?
Sometimes I just feel so over the gross, sweaty, oily, dirtiness that is life on the road. A little pampering is key. When I feel this way usually my MIA, Hope in a Jar, or Trader Joes Hand Cream (all over cream) makes me feel a little more refined.
Clarisonic Mia– After reading tons of blog post about the Mia. I asked for this a few Christmases ago and my mom got it for me. I really do love it. Back at home I used it about 3 times a week. Out here, I use it maybe once a week. I really feel like it stuffs a bunch of dead skin off your face. If I use my face cream right afterwards I feel like I can see a difference in my skin the next morning. I highly recommend it.
Hope in a Jar– I’ve been using this stuff nightly since Jane was born. I randomly discovered it on a work trip and ever since I’ve had it shipped to me every 6 months. It moisturizes my skin without it feeling oily. I try to use it every night but have been rationing it a bit more while out on the road.
Trader Joes Hand Cream- This little tube is like $5. I keep it in the door of the Tahoe and in my little bin in the Airstream. When we’re on a long ride I like to lotion my super dry gross hands and feet. I feel like they get the chance to soak it all in while we’re FOR-EV-ER driving. At night I’ll rub it all over my body. It smells good without having a strong fragrance. And while I wouldn’t typically use it all over as its a pretty thick cream, being in the desert climates it was welcomed.
What are your little luxuries in life? Do tell. I could always use a new one!
