Traveling full time is so different than a vacation. Anyone who’s ever tried to go anywhere with young children knows that most of the time trips are work. They are not a vacation. Traveling full-time is a lot of work, and sometimes we need to break up the work of day-to-day travel with a little vacation.
We had the good fortune of being hosted by my godfather and his family over Labor Day Weekend in San Francisco.
They put us up in a nearby boutique hotel with a swimming pool, and they even babysat Jane and Wilson while their son took Mark and me on a 12 mile waking tour of the city. That walk was the best!
On top of all this, they did all our laundry. After coming out of Lassen National Park where everything is ash, dust and dirt, our laundry was no easy task.
It was glorious!
By coincidence, my youngest brother was in town visiting some friends. We had the pleasure of seeing him three times over the long weekend. Jane and Wilson were so happy. They really love their Uncle Pete!
Here are some pictures from our vacation weekend in San Francisco.
