Appalachian Trail southbound thru-hiker

AdventurePossible.com publisher standing on Max Patch while on his southbound Appalachian Trail thru-hike.

When you adopt the Adventure Possible life, you can design and attempt any adventure that you’d like.

One of my adventures was thru-hiking the historic Appalachian Trail, and I highly recommend it to others seeking a backpacking challenge.

In fact, the spirit of the Appalachian Trail is the foundation of Adventure Possible’s mission to help others live their personal adventures.

The Appalachian Trail is the most historic footpath in America, stretching about 2,160 miles (it varies) from Mount Katahdin, Maine to Springer Mountain, Georgia. The path crosses 13 states as it winds up, down, and around the Appalachian Mountains.

Thousands of adventurers attempt the storied Appalachian Trail thru-hike adventure each year, and millions more hit the Appalachian Trail for day hikes and shorter camping trips each year.

I was fortunate to successfully thru-hike the Appalachian Trail, and I strive to share my knowledge and passion of the Appalachian Trail to help others plan, pay for, and experience the Appalachian Trail thru-hike adventure. Here’s every blog post from my Appalachian Trail thru-hike.

I also provide money to would-be Appalachian Trail thru-hikers each year in the form of adventure sponsorships.

Below you will find backpacking tips, budgeting calculators, and checklists related to hiking the Appalachian Trail.

If you have questions about the Appalachian Trail, feel free to leave a comment on an article, on Facebook, or on Twitter.
