Mailing a postcard internationally requires a 1,000 peso stamp. The kiosk in the Correos office has a number of choices and “Envio” is the closest. There is a Correos de Chile in the Plaza de Armas along with a small postal museum. Stamps are sold there at a separate window. Cash, credit or debit are accepted. There was also one in Providencia near the Pedro de Valdivia metro stop. The offices all seem to keep different hours.

I could not find stationery, even at several paper and ink stores. And no envelopes.

One of my relatives is Chileno and knew nothing about the postal process; I guess nobody sends letters.

I bought postcards from a vendor at Plaza de Armas. I did see a few at the various museums but nowhere else.
