I seriously have the best friends. After an 8 hour day in the car, the same day we shattered the window of the airstream. We pulled up to our park in Fort Benton, Montana. I got out of the car to check us in and immediately the lady who manages the park comes out and says “Oh, I recognize you! You’re the Kelleys! We’ve never had celebrities stay with us before!”
I look behind me….very confused.
She then hands me this package.
I laugh and tell her “I have some very creative friends!”
I made us wait until after we were settled, fed and showered to open it.
Jane seriously asked if it was “like Christmas?” The next day was the Forth of July and we had been talking about the many ways people like to celebrate the Holiday. So I think she thought that gifts might be part of the celebration.
Inside was this little RV filled with a “spa kit” for me. There were lolly-pops, activity books, road trip bingo, and stickers for the kids.
One friend sent photo’s and postcards. Also included was a “Habitat for a Fairy” letter. It gives instructions on how to make the perfect fairy house. There was even a National Park scavenger hunt for all of us to complete. All created by my amazingly thoughtful and creative friends!
It greatly changed the mood of the day.
I’ll go ahead and note that we left it out that night and Wilson took it upon himself to take the wrappers off all of the lollypops that were included in the package. He had licked each and every one before the rest of us were up the next day. Whoops!
We were all so grateful. Thanks so much for the smile sweet friends. You’re the best!
