so as I left out of the shelter this morning I was amped and ready to go. I had a belly full of grits with pepperoni  and Texas Pete hot saaauuuuccceee.   (Awesome).  And my cider down.   It was a good morn.   I left out with Wilson this morn and we were moving pretty good.   The plan was to do a pretty long one.  15 miles!!   I was worried about my feet getting sore.  I mean they just started feeling good.  So we took off and we made gr at time to the New Found gap. It was a quick 5 miles and I even stopped  to shoot some. I also started shooting a lot of gopro footage and took a few selfies with the big camera.   There were some great outlooks.  Some really epic views.  I took lots of stops today and really just enjoyed the hike.  I took a lot of time just listening and being in the moment.  I saw a couple bald eagles as well today.  Soaring down beneath me a few hundred feet.

The hike was a Beatiful one.  With large spruce trees.  They were amazingly big and awesome.   It was a clear crisp day with lots of sunshine.  A really really great day.  My feet were starting to get sore just a little when I got to the shelter.    Wilson and Benjali were there with a few random people I had met through the trail. Also a lot more hikers here.  Many I have yet to meet but some interesting carachters none the less.  I set my tent in a spot overlooking the shelter and am pretty comfy.  I made dinner right in the tent. Tonight it was spicy creamy fajita ramen with pepperoni and jerky.  It was an amazing concoction if I do say so myself. Tomorrow I’m gonna go about 13-14.   Not a great sleep last night.  Maybe tonight is the night.

P.S.   I find myself singing to myself a lot while hiking and today I was singing away and I come around the corner and their they were.  An older couple around 50 that me and Mandi had met at fontana dam.  It was good to see them still out.  They are nice.
